They say that some things never change, and I'm afraid that's becoming true of my busy life. It just never slows down! Such a fun week, although it went by much too soon! I caught up with so many old friends and got to meet so many new ones. I was in Meridian Friday night and came back just in time to go out with friends here in town last night!
Before moving to Birmingham, I will admit that I was warned of this so called "Roll Tide Nation," but wasn't fully warned of its intensity during football season. I used to think it was just a cult, but I've found it's far worst than that...it's more of a mafia. I went out last night, only to find that not only is "Roll Tide" inserted into songs such as Sweet Home Alabama (and the norm), but also into EVERY song that the band plays. And I'm not talking just one "Roll Tide," we're talking synchronized all-together as if they've practiced this before. Whether it's JZ or the Allman Brothers, there's always room for a little "Roll Tide!" Friends, it's intense stuff. I'm afraid I'm just a lonely bulldog in a sea of crimson without a gleam of hope. I just feel extra bad for Auburn fans!
On another note, I've got Sophie for the week. I've always been allergic to her but for some reason I've been extra allergic over the past two days. I wish that I could remotely begin to explain just how bad my eyes hurt from itching them all day...and I've got five more days to go. I take allergy medicine and I've got eye drops and neither are working. Eye drops state "Do not exceed four times a day"...ha, try four an hour!! Help!! My eyes would appreciate any remedies!! Putting makeup on is just painful!
Work in the morning, class tomorrow night,
Starkville on Friday,
MISSISSIPPI STATE FOOTBALL on Saturday!!
GO DAWGS!!
