I must admit that I'm a 100% daddy's girl, and I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't a complete spitting image of him. My dad is the most amazing man I've ever met, and he is absolutely

the funniest man I know. I only wish I had his sense of humor.

I have always been so close to my dad; not only is my dad just my dad, but he's my boss, my friend, and my "career coach." Can I please tell you just how many times we talk a day?! I absolutely couldn't have picked a better father, and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world...well, okay most days :)

Hump Day..

First things first:

This is Night 2 that our power has gone out. Yes, I woke up at 4:00 a.m. sweating.

Repeat tonight except for the fact that I wasn't asleep. It is really starting to creep me out!

Busy day. I woke this morning to return many calls, e-mails, etc. I then proceeded to go to work, went to dinner, took Sophie for a very long walk, go to the grocery, clean, and do laundry. Exhausted to say the least.

Plans for tomorrow: work, Lynyrd Skynrd or Barons game..tough decision.

Only two days until the WEEKEND....super excited about that!

And I would also like to take the time to thank Mississippi State University for making my life so complicated. More to come on that later.

Super fun weekend, only 4 more days until the next one.

My weekend consisted of

and the lake.

It was so great getting to see all of our family from Little Rock, I miss them dearly and wish that we could all live a little closer. We missed you Matt and Riles!! Zac Brown was amazing, super fun and super hot (the weather that is). I went fishing and caught a tree..just how much does this describe me?! I actually had a very big bass but lost him as I was reeling him in..shame on me!!

Got in late last night. It is now 10:20 p.m. and I am headed to bed..please write this down, it may not ever happen again. I worked from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and am absolutely exhausted. Repeat tomorrow.

I did forget one thing..guess who I've got for the week?!

Sweet little Sophie..thought you'd never guess!!

I have had so much fun with her thus far, I've missed her a lot!! I came straight home from work, picked her up, we went walking at the park (okay really golf course), got dinner, and have played all night! And shh...she got to sleep snuggled up right beside me last night. This is very rare. I'm really allergic to her and prefer for her to sleep on the floor in her own bed but she wouldn't stop whimpering, so I gave in. I've paid the price (my allergies are terrible), but it was worth it!! She snuggled right up beside me all night!! Love that sweet little thing!!

Busy week.

Our A/C has been out the past few days. It has gradually been getting hotter and hotter, and today it turned into a furnace! Thank goodness it got fixed late this afternoon.

Cable box and DVR will be fixed by tomorrow.

When it rains it pours. Not that any of the above is important (with A/C being the exception), but all at the same time?! We had maintenance men in and out all day.

Did I mention just how excited I am to see the Arkansas Vons?! Haven't seen them since Christmas. Unfortunately, Riles and Matt won't be making the trip but we will ensure that fun will be had none-the-less.

Life..Or Something Like It

I'm beginning to believe that the title says it all.

Things have been pretty crazy around here lately and I'm beginning to think it never ends!! I traveled to Meridian late last Thursday night. Leigh Taylor was in town so I spent all of last Friday hanging out with her and we had an absolute blast!! I hate we don't get to see each other more often! We spent the day at the pool and went to dinner with a big group Friday night. My friends picked me up early Saturday morning and we all headed to NOLA for the weekend for Blair's bachelorette party. To say that we had a blast is an understatement! I have a total of 4 pictures from this weekend or I would share! We all headed back late Monday afternoon and then back to B'ham it was. Staying with all of my friends this weekend brought back soo many memories of living in the DDD house!! Gosh I miss those days! I also miss my friends..A LOT!! I wish that we all lived somewhat close to each other!!

Well, I guess I should probably update you all, considering my life seems to change every 5 seconds. So much has been going on here in Birmingham. For many numerous reasons, I resigned last Wednesday from my job and am currently "transitioning" into another. I have been on the phone with Mississippi State today. I have 5 Accounting classes left to take before I can set for the CPA exam. So that's the plan. Work during the day, go to school at night.
