Catching up..

I spent the majority of my day catching up with my best friends.

I talked to Leigh Taylor for 2 hrs. on the phone,

and then Riles for one!

Gosh I miss them...especially Riles, because I never get to see her!

Miss you both dearly, you both need to come visit very soon!!

On another note, thank goodness it's the weekend!! As Riles and I were conversing today, I'm afraid the majority of our convo. revolved around just how amazing SuperTarget is!! That's correct, I live about five min. from one and to say that I'm obsessed with it is an understatement!! I got two filets for approximately $3, a sweet potato, and a bottle of wine for one of the cheapest meals I've ever had..you can't beat that one!! Job is good, Birmingham is great, and my friends are even better!

I have always been a sucker for seersucker..

Words cannot express just how much I love this skirt. I have been eyeing it since last summer, and what better reason to get it than now?!

I already own a seersucker dress and seersucker capris. Why not add to the collection?

I stopped by Brooks Brothers today and they've got the jacket to match. Now I'm not that old, the skirt will suit me just fine.

Who wants to wear a jacket in the summertime anyways??

I'm thinking this is a must have for summer!!

Sweet Home Alabama..

I wake up every morning with one thought...

"I can't believe I actually live here!"

Since the day that I accepted this job, everything has just been so surreal. The move went so well. A big thanks to my parents, Monte, and Kristen for all of your help moving in!!

I absolutely LOVE my apartment, my job, and have I mentioned just how awesome my roommate is?? I couldn't be more thankful that everything has worked out so well. I've learned that some things are just worth the wait, and that God's timing is perfect timing.

I have been busy busy with work. For those of you that don't know, I took a job as an agent with an insurance brokerage firm here in B'ham. If I can ever assist you or your family with any needs now or in the future please let me know! I sell in AL and MS!

Not only have I been busy with work, but I've stayed pretty busy since I moved on Sunday. I've been getting unpacked, Monday night my roomie and I went to dinner, Tuesday I actually cooked dinner (I can't remember the last time I've done that!), and tonight I went to church with a friend. I'm pretty sure that I drove through a hurricane coming home tonight..the weather here has been terrible!! Hoping for sunshine and warm weather very soon!!

Goodbye Mississippi, Hello Alabama!!

It's official....I'm moving to B'ham on Sunday, and to say that I'm excited is quite an understatement!! Sorry for the lack of updates but I have been extraordinarily busy!! Let me catch you up-to-date!

I had a sales meeting in B'ham last Monday, training on Wednesday and Thursday, and I spent Friday-Sunday in Starkville!

I spent Monday and Wednesday in B'ham again this week for another sales meeting and more training..and I have been working in Meridian in between trips!

Work has kept me extremely busy but I am absolutely loving it!! I absolutely love my co-workers, my district manager, and also my regional manager. I am so excited to actually get settled!!

Words cannot even describe (and this post could never justify) just how absolutely blessed I have been. Not only did God provide me with an amazing job, such a fun city and an amazing apartment, but also an amazing roommate! When I was looking for an apt back in September, I found one apartment complex that I absolutely fell in love with! And of course for a one bedroom, it was a little pricey. Well guess what? Not only did I find a roommate, but my roommate got an amazing move-in-special in this apartment complex, and my rent will be the same price that I paid for an apt. in Starkville!! Could things have worked out to be any more perfect??

I am absolutely blessed beyond belief and could not be any more excited about the move!! It is going to be a huge relief to get settled and not have to commute a few times a week! If you're ever in the area, please stop by and visit!!

On another note..

I may be a bit partial, but I know without a doubt that I have the most amazing friends in the world. I miss them all very much!! We had a "reunion" last weekend in Starkville and had an absolute blast!! Here are a few pics, enjoy!

On the Road Again..

I'm afraid that my days of free-time are officially over! I had my first sales meeting this morning in Birmingham and it went really well. I am going to look at an apartment early Wednesday morning, and I will be in training all of Wednesday and Thursday. I will head back to Meridian late Thursday night and onto Starkville Friday!! My friends and I decided that it would be the perfect weekend for a reunion! I couldn't be more excited, I miss them all sooo much!!

Well, if I didn't feel old enough talking about sales meetings, guess what I have been up to all afternoon?

Looking for something to log all of my expenses onto, looking to open up a "business account," and looking for files to store all of my paperwork in. I feel as if I've gotten really old really quick.

Now onto many more important topics..

I have never really been a big "t.v. watcher," but I'm convinced that I've watched more television in the past 6 months than I have in my entire life! I think I have a show or two for each night of the week! And with that being said, you know what tonight is.....

The Bachelor!! I read Reality Steve's blog and after reading who Jake picks in the end, it makes me sick that I even watch this show anymore!!

And most importantly, you cannot let me forget..

tomorrow night!!

For some reason I cannot remember American Idol each Tuesday and Wednesday night to save my life! I love watching it....when I remember it! The past few weeks I think I've caught the last five minutes of each episode!

Well, It's Official..

I have made the executive decision to stop substitute teaching. I taught third grade yesterday. I was supposed to teach again today and tomorrow but unfortunately I came home yesterday with the flu. I just don't think that words could possibly express how absolutely miserable I have felt but I'm hoping that it goes away very quickly!

There is also BIG news that I have to share! I signed a contract yesterday to work for an insurance brokerage company in Birmingham, AL. I will be in training next week and hopefully start sometime very soon after that! I am extremely excited and absolutely cannot wait to begin a new career!
